Jeecei
Privacy
This page says what we know about you. The short answer is: almost nothing, and by design.
What we do not collect
No account. No name, no phone number, no email address, no advertising identifier. The app never asks for any of it, at any point.
The first name and picture you choose stay on your phone. They only travel between the members of your session, and encrypted.
Your positions
Your position is encrypted on your phone before it is sent, and decrypted only on the phones of the members of your session. The key that makes it readable travels from one phone to the other through the QR code you scan. It never passes through our servers.
In practice: what passes through us is an unreadable block, tied to a random identifier that disappears with the session.
We cannot read your positions.
That is not an internal policy, it is a technical property, and it holds for a court order too.
What the server keeps
The server that lets the phones talk to each other keeps nothing on disk: everything lives in memory and disappears at the end of the session, or when the server restarts.
The only thing written down for good is a counter file: six running totals since launch, one outing count per day over the last thirty days, and the date it was last written. No line per session, no individual duration, no identifier, no breakdown by country or by mode. That file cannot be cross-referenced with anyone, because there is nobody in it.
This website
We count our visitors, and the whole calculation runs on our own server, from what your browser sends of its own accord: nothing is written to or read from your device. No external analytics, no advertising, no font or script loaded from a third party. That is why no consent banner is shown to you: not because we measure nothing, but because our way of measuring has nothing to ask of you.
If you sign up for the closed test, and only then, your address is kept on our server, in a file that holds nothing but addresses, the page language and the date. It serves one purpose: to tell you the beta is open and to open access for you on Google Play. This is temporary: addresses are deleted at the end of the test, and before that at any time on request to contact@jeecei.app. Nobody appears in it but the people who signed up, and the address is never resold, cross-referenced or used for anything else.
Reports sent from the app
The “Report a problem” button sends what you wrote, the version of the app, your phone model, its language, and whether a session is running or not, never which one. The list is shown on screen before anything is sent.
Neither your position, nor the first names of your group, nor the content of your exchanges are in it.
Your rights
We have no way of finding your data, since we hold no identifier that designates you. A right of access or erasure would therefore have nothing to apply to, except for a contact message you may have sent us, which we delete on request.
Data controller: ZKYSolutions. See the legal notice to get in touch.
